If it was just this benign, I would understand it. But acl goes much further than this. He is actively pursuing the lowering of everyone's expectations. Even going so far as to say that we shouldn't expect any increases other than those justified through future inflation.

It smells to me like this is a guy who is the management liason to the internet boards. The problem is that these guys never come out and say so. They always play the part of "one of the guys" while they fight hard to communicate management's vision.
