Dude...I give our chairman crap because I think it's crap not to have term limits on an MEC Chair...power corrupts absolutely, and all that...
However, I don't think any amount of leadership, whether from the XJ MEC or elsewhere is going to lead to a fair TA...you're dealing with 9E Management, whrere they'll spend $10 just to keep from having to pay you a dollar more...it's just the management philosophy from the top down over here...which you'll soon start to realize...
Example--trip trades, where an automated system would reduce unplanned absences by 25-40%, yet they still have human beings answering trip trade requests via email for 1600 pilots + all our FAs out of sheer stupidity...I have called them a month in advance and told them I had FMLA approved for a certain date for a dr appt, and they STILL wouldn't even consider approving my trip trade even though I told them on a recorded line I'd be calling in sick if that day if they couldn't approve it....sheer effing stupidity...all so they can exert control...
