This point is why Pattern Bargaining works for both the companies and for the pilots. It keeps the pilot costs relatively fixed. What killed us in the last decade was LLC's that could cherry pick routes. Now with our route networks post merger we are able to defend against that. It is the point Sailing is trying to make.

Make each pilot group pick at the pie with shorter duration contracts to stair step our way back to where we should be. Not trying to hit Grand Slams with the wind in our faces. It will end up with us at the same location in the same time, but with more agreement more frequently.
