My contribution to this thread. Take it or leave it. (If you could care less about working for Southwest then please keep the flames to yourself.) If you are starting out in this business and want to fly for Southwest some day . . . . . here is something to think about.

I don't have the break down of the entire current pilot pool at SWA - 170+ pilots. Here is a breakdown of the partial list I do have. It may or may not be safe to assume that it is representative of the entire list. Of the SWA poolies that made it past the 2nd Decision Board last month and will likely start training in Jan/Feb/Mar of 2011:
