Who set the deadline, was it management or the union?
IF the negotiations are extended again, I think it would be in their best interst to schedule them next week or at least before christmas. If not, they need not worry about snow or ice, as there will likely be a system wide meltdown.
I finally had a chance to listen to the XJ conference call, and our MEC says that management is setting the deadlines.
They said that they are going to try to wrap up everything and leave the financial items last (insurance, pay).
They believe if it comes to the deadline and just those few items are left, they will extend again to wrap it up soon after.
