Long time Apple guy here (1986....).... I've got a 13" MacBook Pro that I take on the road and it's the best computer purchase I have made for work. I bought it from Apple online from their refurbished stock. Does everything I need and lightweight. Thought about the iPad but realized there were some features I really needed that the iPad didn't cover.

Am now looking at the NEW MacBook Air. Need to check one out in person to make sure it will work with all my needs.

I have my own Airport Express and use it in every hotel we stay at. Sets up my own personal wireless network in the room AND adds another layer of security.

I use a magicjack for phoning purposes and really, really like that thing but it requires a USB port on your computer to work. So until the next iPad includes a USB port I won't be going there either.

I will look real hard at Apple's refurbed page after the holidays to see when the NEW MacBook Air's start to become available there.
