They predicted about 35 furloughs after the system bid, but with the increasing pace we lose pilots these days, around 80 since August, I don't think anyone is going to be furloughed in 2011. If they stick with the numbers they gave us, I see it as more likely we have to recall later in the spring. If there's anyone left to recall....
I know for fact a number of pilots leaving in the beginning of next year. Guys that didn't take the buyout, but are leaving because they got hired somewhere else. We will lose a lot of pilots to other airlines in 2011. This is just the start of it.
