captfurlough,
That is a good strategy! I am fortunate enough to be currently employed at a 135 charter. This is certainly improving the recent employment history, but the on duty 24/7, no scheduled days off, 1.5hr radius from the airport, and piece-meal flying is certainly taxing. With an ATP and 4,500 hours not sure if I could land a regional job. At my previous regional, I tried getting my unemployed friend in with an ATP and 4,000hrs and the president of the company told me he was concerned my friend had too much time, experience, and would be unhappy as a co-pilot with a 17k salary! Haha, who would like that?? Hopefully, this massive hiring spree everyone is predicting will come true!
