Any experience with Termination on your PRIA?

Any experience with Termination on your PRIA?
My previous employer issued me Termination on my Pria for the next 5 years after a crew member formulated an outlandish letter stating I was a safety hazard.
On any future online applications when asked, why did you leave your previous employer? Should I indicate "termination" and risk not even receiving a phone call for an interview? I'm afraid with thousands of pilot apps, they will just move to the next applicant if they see termination.
Should I instead state "resignation" on the online application and issue all of the details to them when I arrive to the interview? In fact, I sent a resignation letter after my "carpet dance", but a termination letter followed.
Any advice?

Perhaps Rickair will chime in however are you suggesting wrongful termination? If this is the case then by all means contact an aviation attorney first thing Monday.

The termination happened approximately 8 months after the tragic buffalo crash. Management felt inclined to show the FAA that they are making swift safety improvements on their pilot group. Pursuing them legally would take years and lots of cash! I made several attempts through an attorney to collect my performance and employee records, but Mgt was not compliant. The question is now, with termination, how would you handle an online application before an interview is even offered?

Be very careful to be completely accurate when filling out any application. A claim of "I resigned" in the face of the information in your PRIA record could be construed as misrepresentation. Consider attaching a letter to your application explaining the termination and how dedicated to safety you really are.
You may have to set your sights on smaller opportunities where you can develop a clean record over a period of time....flying charters, frieght, aerial photo...etc. A few years there without incident may help repair a reputation and put you in a better position for the regionals.

I'm in a similar position. You're not even going to get a call to an interview with termination on your record, even from the crappiest airline. When hiring picks up after Dec 2012, and somebody walks your stuff in, and sells it, you might get an interview.
Don't lie on the app. That may lead to termination number 2, and getting pulled out of a class. Try and get a job after that.

captfurlough,
That is a good strategy! I am fortunate enough to be currently employed at a 135 charter. This is certainly improving the recent employment history, but the on duty 24/7, no scheduled days off, 1.5hr radius from the airport, and piece-meal flying is certainly taxing. With an ATP and 4,500 hours not sure if I could land a regional job. At my previous regional, I tried getting my unemployed friend in with an ATP and 4,000hrs and the president of the company told me he was concerned my friend had too much time, experience, and would be unhappy as a co-pilot with a 17k salary! Haha, who would like that?? Hopefully, this massive hiring spree everyone is predicting will come true!

Sorry to hear about your situation.
Perhaps you can contact the AOPA. They have an ample supply of aviation attorneys that can perhaps assist you.
First and foremost, you need to obtain a copy of your PRIA. That will shead light as to the severity of the comments relating to the termination of your employment from your last carrier.

I'm not sure you can "obtain your PRIA record" since it does not exist. PRIA is a reporting system, and the records in question are maintained mostly by your employers.
You can get a copy of all records returned anytime a potential employer conducts PRIA requests on you. You would have to research whether you can just demand a copy anytime you like.
