9/08 Hire, Based in Saint Thomas, 4 days on 4 days off, come in around 1pm, done around 9pm. Usually about 6 legs a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. As a new hire, you go where the need is, just like at any other airline. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes, not so much. Some people chase the money, some people chase the schedule, it is almost impossible to get both here. I'm a schedule guy, but if I am forced to go North this year (not sure how that will work out) I don't know if I can afford to chase the schedule because the pay in the North is 3 dollars a duty hour less than the Carib. and the bid minimum is 35 hours a week as opposed to 40 a week in the Carib. That 3 dollars an hour, and 5 hours of minimum can make a big difference in QOL.

Just a FYI there is a very junior 5 days on 2 days off line in Saint Thomas. Speedbird nailed it, seniority is everything.

Another note, we are in contract negations, and some things, such as pay, min, and sched are all on the table but have not been talked about much yet.
