It continues to amaze me the amount of siht people are willing to go through to fly airplanes. Junior man's, having to "check out", airport ready for more than 4 hours, less than 12 days off a month, not to mention pay.....this industry makes me sick almost as much as the people who are willing to put up with this crap.
Let me dazzle you with this amazement...In the 3.5 years I been at Colgan, I checked in/out maybe a few times. I have been Junior Manned once, extended once or twice, only had less then 12 days off for the first year or so and never had so much as a talkin to from any management regarding a fatigue call I made once for weather delays.
I will even go as far to say that I am happier at Colgan (living in base) then I would be at your employer (having to commute). I am now part of a much larger company (Pinnacle/Colgan/Mesaba) that is growing almost as fast as your blood pressure while reading this and my outlook is much brighter in my opinion where I am now.
