To get even 1500 pilots who are so disenfranchised with ALPA that they would want to start all over with completely new representation is very significant and speaks volumes, IMO.
You might be overstating the case, 1500 pilots submitted a card, they
didn't vote for DPA by sending in those cards. I suspect that many sent in a card to have a vote, or send a message, and some have asked that their cards be sent back, but how many would actually vote for DPA?
I'm not surprised that after bankruptcy, a merger and the deepest and longest recession since the 1930s that there would be some pilots willing to send in cards, but after 8-9 months of organizing, 1500 out of 12,000?
