As many have done at the career crossroads, I have made a comparison spreadsheet for airline compensation longevity x hourly x guarantee ..summed together over remaining years of flying til 65. Result is career earnings. I understand this is making an assessment out of a snapshot and many other variables exist. At this time I would ask at what longevity scale does each carrier place Captain upgrades..year 1 or years at company... This includes companies listed in Major, Cargo and Charter. Any input is appreciated.
Format suggestion Carrier/ CA upgrade longevity scale/ estimated average monthly scheduled hours when holding a line, i.e
US Airways/actual year/85 -or-
US Airways/year one/85
