Why else would we be buying old used up "heavies" while everyone else is buying new ones? Its because the company does not have to buy new airplanes. Let those that buy new airplanes "bid" to haul our stuff, then everything left over we will put on our "old used up heavies" (SCS....now thats LOGISTICS!).
Actually it looks good on paper. But so did outsourcing all the construction on the 787. Look at all the money it saved!!!!
I see no difference in the way they buy airplanes, they started the entire operation with airplanes that they pulled out of the desert. They treat employees as they always have, this will not change, its ingrained in the corporate culture.
