Most likely I have bad news for you. I personally know five individuals who have been affected by this IRR snafu.
In three cases, the individuals were Captains and had not been promoted to Major at time of separation. They were then twice past over. Unfortunately, no USAF or other military service could hire them (Reserve or Guard).
Two of my friends were scheduled to pin on Major (already met the board and were promoted) at time of separation. After *a lot* of phone calls down to USAFR HQ, we were able to get USAFR to honor their previous board results.
