I agree that some of the viewpoints presented by pro-ALPA people are sometimes obnoxious and pedantic, but if you're going to be the referee on matters of arrogance, you're going to have to step in a lot more often.

It is the vehement pro alpa side that has the arrogance.. mainly because they are on top, and have earned the "right" to be arrogant. However.. when one is trying to win over an opponent to your point of view, exhinited arrogance has the opposite effect. Splash could now tell me the world is not flat, and I would question his argument, because EVERYTHING he says is so laced with ALPA-can-do-no-wrong rhetoric. I now find him boring and will give him no consideration in his arguments...
