It goes without saying that ALPA national isn't much help in most pilots eyes, but I am amazed how much local Comair ALPA sucks.
Has anyone heard anything from these guys? Last I heard they were still pipe dreaming about merging with someone.
Why? Because obsorbing hundreds of 20 year captains is way more cost effective than just buying the airplanes from Comair and hiring off the street at 1st year pay?
Comair Alpa sucks? Now that's not true. They have done an excellent job at screwing everyone on the last half of the seniority list, and as a final kicker screwed many many involuntary furloughees out of their travel benefits.
I wouldn't exactly advertise being a part of the Comair MEC or LEC if I were job hunting. Not only did they manager to anger the hand that feeds (Delta) they came after their own.
