The conflict of interest within ALPA is beyond illegal. It is disgusting.
This arrangement with APA is going to end up costing all of us millions of dollars when Eagle sues ALPA for violating their duty of fair representation.
The one thing that comes to mind is that ALPA has partially "spun off" the professional lawyer branch of ALPA... Its now a "subsidiary company" called the ISPC, or International Pilot Services Corporation.
The ability of this business to operate outside the direct control of ALPA is what I think (just an opinion/guess) will prevent a DFR lawsuit to have merit. Any lawyers have better precedent/information?
