IMO, that actually would make you more attractive, as someone who can handle a lot of pressure.

If AE denied you because of this I suspect it was simply due to the fact that the investigation was not complete.

Unfortunately, this is only a preliminary, not a final, report. Airlines usually won't hire someone who is under investigation until the final report comes. If I were doing the hiring I would probably make an exception in your case since the prelim seems to pretty much provide all the answers, and actually reflects well on your piloting ability.

But I still think they will need the bosses approval...while every airline has a manager on duty 24/7, that is only for flight ops issues. Administrative issues have to wait until normal working hours. Be patient.
