Most Mesaba MSP guys aren't too excited about the growing presence of Skywest in MSP. I think that's what your seeing and or feeling.
It is uncomfortable for most of us to see our block hours decrease in our "backyard" where we have actively chosen to live.
Comair and CVG
ASA in ATL
SKW in SLC
Mesaba in MSP
Pinnacle in MEM
The list goes on, and although the gut reaction is frustration with the non-indigenous pilots
I think most of us understand the way the game works. Namely, if we as SkyWesters are in MSP, ASA in CVG, etc. its at the expense of block hours closer to home.
