Haha, no doubt! It's a bit chilly this time of year!

It is uncomfortable for most of us to see our block hours decrease in our "backyard" where we have actively chosen to live.

Comair and CVG
ASA in ATL
SKW in SLC
Mesaba in MSP
Pinnacle in MEM

The list goes on, and although the gut reaction is frustration with the non-indigenous pilots I think most of us understand the way the game works. Namely, if we as SkyWesters are in MSP, ASA in CVG, etc. its at the expense of block hours closer to home.

I know that this has nothing to do with the scope of this thread - but, this statement is not correct. QX is not the only airline in the world that is approved for single engine CAT III approaches. At DL our 777 and 737 fleets are certified for this (there may be others, but these were the ones I looked up).

Now, if you were to say that QX is the only REGIONAL airline to do these kinds of things, I think you would be spot on.

I spent many years at QX, and while we did many special things (SE CAT III, RNP, nav-aid substitution, and even, at one point, steep MLS appraoches) we were by no means, the only airline in the world to do so.

Getting 'in your face' with the 'your non-union airline' comments only makes future attempts at unionizing a pilot group that has clearly shown an interest in gaining legal representation more difficult. So, continue on with the 'your airline sucks' quotes and list some examples of why 'your airline sucks' but until you can educate those at the 'sucky airline' what the real benefits are of unionizing (besides not being subjected to countless 'your airline sucks' comments), both those at the 'sucky airline' and at the 'union airline' will continue to be the beneficiaries of 'the suck'.

Oh yeah, oh yeah - Your airline sucks. But my airline sucks too.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
