It's interesting how some folks seem more concerned with protecting ALPA than they are with protecting the Delta pilot's careers. To use the boat analogy...The Delta pilots are floating in our own boat in very treacherous waters. We have taken on much damage. The ALPA boat is supposed to be protecting us. Since they are doing such a poor job of this, the Delta pilots are considering hiring a different "boat" to protect us.
That is a Red Herring and you know it. ALPA and our careers are not mutually exclusive. It is what everyone has been trying to tell you. Its not about screwing you to protect ALPA, it is trying to make people realize that even though there are issues within ALPA it is the best mechanism to further your career.
