capn, I'm not angry or bitter. But I think their timing is very inappropriate; if they would have closed up shop on 12/31/10 as they indicated, I'd be fine with the effort. But I think they will continue well past the point that their divisive behavior becomes counterproductive to OUR efforts to get a good contract.
Also, I think their motive for leaving ALPA, is simply frustration. I get that. I am equally frustrated with many of the things ALPA does. But I am equally impressed with those I know who do ALPA work, and know they are pilots just like you and me who really want what's best for DAL pilots -- and are willing to spend countless hours trying to make it so.
Whereas, what I see from most of those supporting DPA is someone who wants to replace the current service, but have no intentions of stepping up and doing the heavy lifting to ensure the replacement is up to the task.
