As for stuff not covered by PRIA...that all depends on state law and company policy. A medium size or larger company will probably have policies to not disclose anything but employment dates and maybe rehire eligibility due to liability concerns. At a small company it might all depend on the personalities involved...the typical aviation mom-and-pop will usually eagerly violate state employment law to throw you under the bus if they hold a grudge.
I may be wrong, however I believe that PRIA, being a Federally established procedure to obtain information on prospective employees, supersedes State and Local laws.
