I thought the go-pills were kind of anti-climatic. I thought I'd be running around like a cracked out monkey. The slow-pills... those are awesome. But yes, we still use go/slow pills. It's entirely voluntary and there is a trial period as was mentioned for side effects. I always kept the go pills with me, but only used one once and that was on a 6 hour flight that turned into 12... and I had a 2am night trap at the end of it. The worst part was we missed 'rats.
