Skywest, AWAC, ASA, XJET, American Eagle are towards the better end of the spectrum. Republic and affiliates is probably OK too, but they have a lot of controversial stuff going on right now.
Mesa, TSA, Colgan, Gojet are places best avoided. Pinnacle used to be bad news but I think they are improving things over there (which will eventually include colgan I think).

That is all based on who you know, personality, and good looks. If you know any mil buds doing that, give them a buz. If not, you need to start hanging out at airports...
Also consider 135, some operators hire candidates off the street without internal hookups. Of course you probably don't want to work for those companies for very long...
