Hi Mac, a very easy way to get the HFs' is to call SFO AIRINC while in the blocks in ANC on 129.4 and ask them what they'll be using for the next few hours. This also works really well when going to Asia through Russian airspace, for company position reports when out of ACARS coverage AND when going from ANC down to OAK or SFO.
Asking Center for the HF frequencies is almost as embarrassing as squaking 2000 at NATES, IMHO.
