The pay rates at CAL and most airlines are based on line seniority regardless of the status (Capt./FO) they occupy. Years of service are years of service, after 12 years in the case of CAL, all you need to look at is the Status and Fleet.

I'll have to look at the contract, but I think the $30/hr Capt. reflects a contractual first year pay without reference to status. As you might guess, there are no 1st year Capt's so it not really relevant.
