I wrote back recommending that they adjust the way they correspond with people realizing that people come to them for a quick touch and go to build hours, but people dont deserve to be treated like this.

Note the NO PAY for training and Williston ND or NM....***!!

This email has been sent in response to your resume submitted in consideration of a Pilot position with Great Lakes Airlines. We have reviewed your credentials and are very interested in speaking with you about our current openings*.

*Please be advised that the following minimums must be met prior to scheduling an interview:
• At least 80 hours logged in the last 6 months
• At least 35 hours logged in the last 90 days
• Current ratings:
o Multi-engine (3 take-offs/landings in last 90 days)

If you do not meet the above minimum requirements, please reply to this email noting which minimum(s) you do not currently meet. You will receive an email response with an update on the status of your application.

Our junior domiciles are Williston, ND and Farmington, NM. It is highly likely that you will be placed initially at one of these bases. Please reply and let us know if you are not interested in either one of these locations.

If you meet the minimum requirements as described above, and are interested in discussing this opportunity further, please contact me at the number below to set up an interview. Please have your 6 month and 90 day times totaled when calling.

Interviews will be held on 5/6/11 in Denver, CO. Transportation to the interview is not provided.

Additionally class, if selected, lasts 4-6 weeks and is unpaid. However, if selected, hotel accomodations are provided for during class.

We look forward to hearing from you--this offer expires 5 days from the date of this message.

Thank you,

Ever heard of "Six degrees of separation"? Well there are about Two degrees of separation in aviation. That was really foolish of you to send the response you sent. Additionally, the main purpose of that email is to clarify some terms and conditions of employment. These are terms and conditions you should have been aware of before applying in the first place.

Also, they know it is a "touch and go" airline and nobody wants to make a career out of it. That being said, many touch and go straight to the majors. With your attitude, you better hope you get on at a decent regional because you will wind up making a career out of it.
