The basic points are true... but just to humbly quantify and clarify this statement... things can and do change in the Guard (some come home from the B-course without a home). "Guaranteed" means different things to different people. Performance matters... a lot... It just matters in different areas and with different airframes and stages of training. The Guard is a huge political machine that can work to your advantage or detriment.
