Your MEC Chairman went to the Wall Street bankers who were to fund the buyout and let them know how tough it would be to run a profitable airline with pilots that were totally opposed to you. He acted like a union leader. You pilots acted like union pilots. It worked. It could work again.

Absolutely spot on. I started at DL during that time. After the years of darkness that was a shining glimpse of hope. They had USair logo mats for you to wipe your feet on when you walked in the door to interview. Pretty awesome.
