I'm not sure I follow you. How would him not wanting.. say A320s at his company raise the bar there? You say that he wants to win the lottery by getting hired at a legacy or whatever.... What if he has run the numbers and sees that the Carl Spacklers of the world aren't gonna retire anytime soon or that he will never be a 747 captain? Maybe it isn't better for him to struggle to climb the ladder at a legacy where he will never reach higher than a A320 captain.. and then only after 10 years. If he supports his company obtaining A320s NOW.. he is at the top of the food chain.. just like you... I am not saying that I support his position, I am just saying that I understand it. You and I don't have to stand on that limb with saw in hand like he and so many others do.
