CRJ-700 CA may be my last airplane in this industry. I am 51, and have a large family I am supporting. Starting at the bottom just won't work, and there are definitely worse jobs out there. If I was single and 26, that is a different story.
I have to imagine that's a reality that a lot of people face... back when "Majors" paid more in their 2nd year, they made at captains, it was feasible... but today it's a a long road back to wage parity between 10 year RJ captains and 2 FO's at majors..
