The reason the statistics don’t look too menacing is because we’re doing exactly what some here don’t want to do. If there's no cure for another 12-18 months, that means shelter in place until then. Otherwise it's all for nought, because people are going to catch the virus and die.

Is that what you are prepared to do? Is that what we as a society are prepared to do? Can we make it that long? Won't "essential activities" just wind up spreading it anyway?
