It's not that it literally doesn't matter, it's that in the grand scheme of things, the failure if Solyndra is run-of-the-mill. It isn't a feasible standard that no business the government ever invests in can fail. We certainly don't hold the private sector to that standard. Furthermore you aren't making an argument against renewable energy investment, you are trying to insist that because of one unfortunate investment, there can be no worthwhile investments whatsoever.
