Where are they planning on getting 900s? United owns a stake in RPA. I doubt they would significantly cut their flying.

Ya well, they owned a stake in Xjet too 😂 I'm not saying it'll work, but they're trying. Supposedly there are actually a lot of 900s on the market.

Not sure bout the 550. G7 just added their 50th 550 this week. All the air worthy 700s from Mesa have been pulled out of the desert and been converted. And now they’re taking used 700s from Norcida Airlines sitting on the ramp at GoJets MX hanger getting converted. Looks like they’re getting up to 75

900 that would be interesting see to take Republics flying away

Why on earth would a company want to replace comfortable 175’s that are already flying with a CRJ 900?

Are you going to fly them for free? All the customer satisfaction info we receive shows how much pax like the 175/550. Man reason is the ability to bring their luggage with them. Next is the head room (excludes 550), they enjoy the feel of a main line jet.

CRJ900’s at UA is a pipe dream.

Didn't say it would work, just said that's what they're bidding for.

Also just because they have the flying now doesn't mean they always will. Cost and performance metrics always matter.

UA doesn’t have any CRJ900’s flying under our banner. UA mgmt has stated many times they (customers) prefer the 170/175 and we are trying to lure premium pax back to UA.

once again you would have to fly them at a loss to get your foot in the door.

There's always a dollar amount where customer comfort is a secondary concern. Again, not saying it's definitely work by any means. But let's not pretend that a 900 is the same comfort as a 200, it's a pretty good product if you want it to be. Being cheaper in this industry is always an advantage.

But who knows!

Who ever started that rumor is definitely smoking something buddy . There is no freakin way UA DAL or AA will dump 175s for 900s . No way. In addition, if cost was a deciding factor UA would not be dumping cheaper 200s to bring the flying back in house with mainline ac with obviously higher costs . So cost isn’t the deciding factor , service , passenger comfort and the product is the deciding factor .
