Delta is shedding regional lift as fast as they can buy airplanes! I bet the c-series order creates some accounting tricks and writes you off the books since they own you! "Being wholly owned is everything." Ask a Comair guy how that worked out!

Just an FYI, some ominous sounding news from Kirby on a recent Crews News about AWAC. The context was keeping some more MD-80's longer than anticipated "in favor of getting rid of some of the regional aircraft" and the "situation with Air Wisconsin in 2018" was specifically mentioned.
Losing a contract hasn't done AWAC in in the past but as far as AA goes it doesn't look so hot. UAL is shedding 50 seat flying so that leaves DAL, who knows maybe they will buy you and merge with Endeavor .
One thing is for certain, pilots are more valuable than the lift is these days. That's a good thing. I doubt a major carrier will let AWAC (or the pilots) simply dissolve.
