Let's not get MP involved in a silly message board. Any pilot that had the misfortune of having to leave an airline due to closure or furlough always should be allowed some latitude, they have earned it.
Many are crying chicken little, chicken little. Always do what is best for you and your family, but base your decision on facts not hyperbole.
Everyone does know that AWAC did state last year that they were INITIALLY reducing the fleet (getting rid of the oldest aircraft), odd that there is panic now over implementation of said plan.
Ah the six amigos? Yeah that is pre 2012
last post here until after the announcement
not mp give the guy a break

A year ago it was true that AAG would have a hard time replacing our lift...now it is much more apparent that we are likely just helping them to a soft landing early in 2018.
I don't want to leave this company until I get that dream corporate job or a legacy, but the advantages to staying have diminished since our staffing movement has ground to a halt like we are in a furlough.
We get maybe 1-3 people a class...and what percentage of those finish? How is an pilot supposed to look at that and say, gee I need to stick around because I can tell things are going to turn around even though now our one competitive advantage (pay scale) is now history.

The panic is not about a minor fleet reduction, which most of us understand is partly due to attrition...that is not what worries us...the attrition started well after the fleet reduction when management went "low information" which leaves the impression they have little or no plan, especially in the face of fleet realignments by AAG that are placing aircraft in all of our traditional playgrounds.

MP is too good to be involved in a "silly message board" where 50% of the industry talks? He goes from ground school to ground school assuring everyone that he has not updated his app since he took DCA asst chief job, and that people should be comfortable because a big announcement is at the end of _______ (insert season here). But he is too good for a "silly message board?"

Do you really think management doesn't go on and troll these boards? If so, you're delusional. Careful what you say. Management does troll these boards. And we have had a lot of people get in trouble for stuff posted on social media.

Really????? I think that would be stupid at this junction. Management calls pilot out about post---- Then Pilot finishes conversation with "Oh and I'd like to submit my 2 weeks notice."

Our own CEO said there is NO ANNOUNCEMENT. Why would anyone believe otherwise? If there is an "announcement", why would they flush out so many pilots prior? A precious commodity in this market. It's all about risk and reward. AWAC is all risk. There is no potential reward.
