I have received two recruiting calls from Air Wisconsin in the past two years. I have never applied there, but was offered a class date on both occasions after I answered a couple of questions.
The first time, I was in the new hire class at another airline (in systems training), and the other I was finished with IOE and a line pilot.
But, I had a couple of type ratings at the time of the first call, and a good record in aviation. I do not fault them for offering me a job over the phone. I was flattered. Had I been looking for a job, I would have seriously considered it. The reason that I did not jump ship is the fleet of 50 seat airplanes made me nervous for the future.
