I called in sick during my 2 weeks last month. The company asked for a doctors note and I provided them one. Still waiting on that money. If I don't have it by the 15th I'll be making a phone call

It sounded like you were preying on an unlucky group, so I apologize. The AWAC situation could be any one of the regionals had the cards been dealt another way.

The only thing I know of is if you use your uniform bank within 30 days of leaving you will have whatever you spent deducted. I made sure my resignation was for 2 days after that. It really helped going to a new job with fresh stuff.

I gave my notice and then called out for my second to last trip. I preemptively got a doctors note (I felt sinus pressure building...) and never heard a peep about it.

And assuming you got paid your earned vacation?

It's not calling out sick that gets your vacation pay nixed, it's giving <2 weeks notice.

Actually that is the one thing that is in the contract that you get your vacation pay whether giving two weeks notice or not

First, this isn't meant to persuade anyone to leave AWAC. I spent and loved every minute of my 9 years there. I truly hope it survives.

That said, I moved on and have a few years at Delta now. Yesterday, they announced a referral/recommendation bonus to all active Delta employees that bring pilots to Endeavor. If anyone is interested in making a move at any point in the coming months or years, I am willing to help out where I can.

Before I'm roasted for being a greedy pilot, let it be known and made very clear this offer stands even if they cancel the bonus program for recommending employees. If Delta is your goal, as of now 9E is the only clear, defined path to get there. Also, the referral bonus doesn't apply to any current DCI carrier which leaves AWAC and a very small number of eligible carriers available for it. I cannot envision myself at any other airline so I'm reaching out to those that want to be here also.

PM me to get the process started.

I'm a flight instructor, probably 4 months out from getting my hours. Just wondering why Air Wisconsin, and what questions should I be asking about other companies? I looked at Endeavor, but I would like to stay south for a base.
