Thanks Grumbletrousers. Any estimate of how long it might take to start training and finish IOE? I’ve seen one place in particular where the wait for IOE is several months. Would one wait months to start sim as of right now?

I started class this past summer and finished IOE two and a half months later. I already had my ATP so add to weeks if you need to do that first. If you need any extra sim sessions there can be delays getting them scheduled. Just under three months on reserve.

Union and management keep saying we wont see endeavour rates because our work rules are so much better...well for the 3rd month in a row...the vast majority of lines are 12 days off and guarantee. Lot of good those work rules are doing us?

The insurance has to cost the company an absolutely insane amount of money.

So the company can sit you around for 4 days? 4 x 5 equals 20 hours. I'd rather fly for 4 days and make 25 hours plus.
All protections are needed for the protection they provide. A higher min day would be nice for us and perhaps more attainable right now than some extreme raise.
