Imagine making $400k a year and complaining about what they want you to wear. Cue the die hard "we agreed to uniforms without anything in return" types?
This policy seems about as relaxed as it can get. Any white pilot shirt you want? Your choice of black or brown shoes? I would have thought choices are a good thing for pilots.

Brown shoes? That would be hideous. As you said “choices are a good thing”.

One of the plus’ to being a commuter from anywhere East of the Rockies is that nobody knows who the hell Alaska is, what we fly, where we go, or what our uniform looks like.
I could care less. It’s hard enough for some to look professional in the most basic, right down the fairway uniform we currently have. Switching to a uniform that was designed for runway models will just accentuate that.
They’re payin for it so, whatever. Hope it works out, cause if it looks like shizzle long before it’s time to replace because of poor quality and a ridiculous light color, well then, I reckon it’s just gonna have to look that way.

The original Alaska uniform is ink blue which is described as blue/black…so not much difference. I have never worn the blazer. Many FO’s did. We are more uniform than the “wedding gown”designer’s idea of what colors work at work will be once pimped it. Just more stupid, small-minded, Alaska Airlines bs..And a union that walked away after the contract…

HAL and VX uniforms are both great, with a hip vibe if that's what they're looking for. Actually I'm not sure WTF they're looking for.
Although there is a case for white shirts: Industry standard and recognizable so the pax know who you are, if for some reason you need to exert authority or herd cats in an emergency.

I think the QX guys look like clowns. As somebody else said, the hat looks cartoonish. Nothing wrong with brown shoes as an option, it's the rest of it.
