Embraer is targeting AS because of the lack of scope. That doesn't mean AS has a need for this thing, or will bite. Although they might get a good deal if Embraer can't sell it anywhere else.

Nothing wrong with Alaska flying a new highly efficient narrow body Jet. Were they buying them for Horizon, on the other hand, different story. But mainline flying of E-195 E2 s and Airbus 220s in the niches they fill best would simply be smart business.

You are funny but clueless.

They are purchasing them for Horizon Airlines. If they purchase them.
Part of the master plan at Alaska Airlines. Horizon will fly everything below 144 seats. For less than 1/2 the pay and benefits. That is true for pilots, FA’s and mechanics. Sweet deal

As I said, nothing wrong with purchasing them IF THEY WERE BUYING THEM FOR MAINLINE BUT NOT BUYING THEM FOR HORIZON.

Do you have a reading problem, a comprehension problem, or are you merely a jerk? Or simply "clueless"?

And for that matter, since you appear to BE a member of the Alaska pilot group, can you kindly explain why you guys have never negotiated for scope?

For what it's worth, Carlos told the Horizon pilot group today that the E195 was brought in by Embraer to show off flight deck options like Synthetic vision and some other packages that could be installed on our E175s, and said that there are no plans to fly anything above 76 seats at Qx.

I understand it has been at DFW today. So they are making the rounds.

Nothing. That's what their word is worth if they won't put it on paper.

No problems that I know of.
Lets go with me being a jerk. I am happy if you are happy.
As to scope. At least 65% of the pilots hired at Alaska are hired to vote yes. At least that is how it has been in my time here. The rest of us are just meat in the seat. Now you know...
