This board is so typical….anyone comes on here and says they like the job, and they get beaten & bashed.
I said I came here eyes wide open, but apparently y’all are too dense to get what that means….
Let me reiterate, I love the job & crews, hate the contract. Is that simple enough?

You're a newbie, so let me give you some advice. Don't look back. Congratulations, you've made it. Now it's time to up your standards.
Look upwards towards your peers. Not downwards to where you've come from.
Because where you're looking is where you're heading.

I think you got everyone's ire because you were dismissive of everyone's well established complaints. People have been living under this contract for a long time, and it's death by 1000 cuts. There's nothing overtly terrible that a newbie can point to and say "wow, that's bad." It's just the day in, day out grind of disappointments and personal sacrifices you will make to the Eskimo that will get you to that emotional place.

Again it’s hilarious how you get absolutely trashed here if you say anything positive about working for the Eskimo.

I get the complaints. Many are real, some are way over dramatized. Remind me again where my standards came off as low? Because I said I can survive reserve? Came from corporate? What is it?

I once worked in an auto parts factory. This job is way better than that. But it doesn't matter. And I don't compare the jobs because they're not apples to apples.
How would you know some complaints are "way over dramatized?" In what way? By what metrics are you using to make these judgments? Your corporate job? Please explain.

Your standards are low because you're comparing to a corporate gig. It's irrelevant. Compare to Delta. Compare to Southwest.

It’s great you don’t even know me, but apparently know my whole life story & career history to make those assumptions. Classy.

ChickenFinger: "This job is way better than my corporate gig!"
Me: "Please don't compare to your previous jobs. Look to our peers for reference."
ChickenFinger: "You don't know me, man!"

I'm just trying to wrap my head around how you can make that judgment without discounting the opinions of those who have been flying the line for years. You still haven't answered.
