I sincerely hope that atm, if someone unintentionally misgenders someone, and the issue is raised to HR (People Dept?), it'll simply be a quick phone call reminding the "offender" to mind their Ps and Qs.

However, it appears that if it's a case where they are deliberately misgendering another, even because of a sincerely held religious belief, then they are on definitely a slippery slope wrt to termination.

Not recognizing someone's opinion, desire or preference to believe something that is clearly not true is not deliberately attacking them.
It's simply choosing to not participate in a lie. In the long run, you might actually be helping them. Just because you don't like the truth, does not mean that it is not the truth.

The greater mystery is how did a thread about masks in the cockpit get turned into a thread about gender?

I’m gonna get one of those she/her pronoun pins and put it on my dog’s collar. I figure he/she is halfway through the gender reassignment surgery already anyway. At least until he/she learns to lift his/her leg when he/she pees. Maybe by squatting he/she is trying to tell me something about his/her gender preference. I wouldn’t want to misgender him/her!

Understandable argument, until we have to acknowledge that hermaphrodites exists, not to mention that there's a spectrum of sexual ambiguity that occurs naturally in animals, humans included.

Unfortunately, not so black and white in some cases..
