So a pilot who doesn’t want to wear a mask in a cockpit is a snowflake, but a guy with his own mask and vax against what is now about like a cold who wants him to mask is not? Lol. Sure.

I guess that’s all Eskimo Blow can contribute to the conversation.

I think you're a child who can't solve your issues in the cockpit.

Threatening an air return? Grow up. Pro standards would have a field day with you.

It won’t be long before someone has a return to field for a mask disagreement in the flight deck

Hopefully they can sort that out prior to push

Effective immediately Alaska Airlines is implementing new mask policy to reduce / prevent high-risk COVID19 exposures. The Omicron variant now accounts for approximately 95% of positive cases in the U.S. and is having significant impacts on our nation’s critical infrastructure, Alaska Airlines is instituting this temporary policy for the remainder of January and will re-evaluate on or after January 31st.

Effective January 5th, 2021, masks will be worn at all times by all employees in the indoor/office work environment, including in the simulator and all other locations at the FTC. In the Flight Deck (FD)masks will be worn:
• Anytime the FD is open either on the ground or in the air.
• Anytime a Flight Attendant is in the FD either on the ground or in the air
• Anytime either pilot expresses a desire to have masks worn in the FD.
o In this case, the expectation is that masks will be worn unless you are actively eating/drinking, having difficulty communicating on the radio or fogging of prescription glasses causes a potential safety risk.

ANYONE who wears a mask in flight above @25000 is a fool. The last thing we need is to rip off the Covid mask to put the O2 mask on. This doesn't even address the communication problems they cause.

So we should just compound the problem with something else to worry about while rapidly becoming hypoxic. This is some sound judgement right here. Why don't you add a ball cap while you are at it.

…… so now I have to wake from a deep sleep, ensure that I don’t lose my place in my book, take off my hat, remove a porous cloth mask, remove my headset or at least get the boom mike out of the way, and then put on a full faced O2 mask without knocking off my glasses. We’re doomed. I don’t wear a mask one second longer than I have to because they drive me nuts and fog my glasses, not the threat of adding one second to donning the O2 mask. If a rapid depressurization is such a threat, we should go back to wearing a mask if anyone leaves their seat.🙄
