I flew with a Frontier CA, was a reserve CA in PHL, lived in SEA and commuted the whole time. Guess he got sick of it and came to AS. People will do what they need to do to improve their own life situation. For some that may mean leave AS and for others it could mean coming here. Attrition is still at a fairly low level, certainly nothing alarming. No argument will be won using the attrition threat. |

You’ll know at 65 when you set the parking brake for the last time.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that particular former Frontier Captain may very well be having some second thoughts about coming here at this point.

Alaska, well... doesn't. He wouldn't be commuting to Philly forever. The chances for Eskimo remorse are higher than you think. |

Good luck. Personally, if I was lower longevity the only airlines I’d leave Alaska for are the big 3. No way would I leave AS for Southwest. You may find buyers remorse there too. Leaving one 737 airline for another 737 only airline, even if it pays more, no thanks. Something like 750 planes already, the chances of SWA expanding that to 1400 in the next 5-7 years are slim. Longest upgrade times in the industry means stagnation. Big 3 or bust.

Can’t have a beard cause they say the O2 mask wont function (which is utter bs to begin with)….
“Sorry I can’t wear a mask it could impede me from getting my oxygen mask on fast enough” Nuff said. |
