CJO pool

Thought it might be a good thing to start a spot for those of us recent CJO folks. When did you get your CJO? What is your class date? If you have started class fill us in.. My CJO was Dec 2 2022. Still waiting on class date.

Cheers..

How long did it take them to reach out to you after you submitted your application?

Also what’s your total time?

I applied spring of 2022. Got the call to interview in September after attending a meet the chiefs event. Interviewed at the end of October, and was placed in a March class. I'm hoping it gets moved up, but it sounds like onboarding and training are a bit backed up right now.

Total Time: 2200

I recieved my CJO in Oct '22 and have a class start date in Feb '23. There were some earlier classes available, but I had to delay due to finishing up my military contract.

Timeline for reference if it helps anyone...
April 22: Applied online. Didn't hear anything for a while.
Sep 22: Chief pilot meet and greet event. Got called the following day to schedule the interview.
Oct 22: In person interview, followed by CJO.

For those who attended a MTC event, how did it go? What do the chiefs ask?

I’m going to attending my first one here soon and want to know what to expect

It was really laid back. They did about a 30 minute presentation, then we broke off and did a one-on-one discussion with either a chief pilot or recruiter. I was asked to talk through my resume, how I got into aviation, and why I would like to work for Alaska. I was contacted within a week to schedule the in-person.

Your TT is 2100 and 2200 PIC Turbine time right?
Or have you sat Left seat at all?
