Let's not go that far. This was a huge favor done by the company to correct the weak language written in the CBA.

This is a great win, to be sure. But don't even think about saying this was by design.

Now OTZ gets to gloat for calling out the magic happening Sept 1. This is above/beyond the contractual requirement since Southwest hasn't signed and UA wouldn't sign until October.

Yup even a clock is right 2x a day. Basic economics, but the 30 will never understand.

MAGIC!

Uhh this was exactly the intended design. Nobody seriously thought 3 airlines would still be negotiating. The language was intended to keep our rates in the mix. Perhaps you'd rather be in SWA shoes? No thanks for me. I'm still with the 82%.

Why not? Sounds like poor planning.

Again. The company did us a huge solid to overlook our lack of imagination. Celebrate today. We can fight another day.

You seem really torqued off for someone who just got an 11% raise outside of the bounds of the contract. Take the win.

not wasn’t a lack of imagination it was what they could negotiate. Not sure why I think you could possibly understand that simple concept.

If you don’t know who’s on our NC you should familiarize yourself. Last ones was good, this is better.

It was what they negotiated because they knew you, along with everyone who was terrified of a recession or were too impatient to wait for the language we deserved, would vote yes for it even though it had the potential to end up functionally useless. Not sure why I think you could possibly understand that simple concept.
