Let's not go that far. This was a huge favor done by the company to correct the weak language written in the CBA.
This is a great win, to be sure. But don't even think about saying this was by design. The 82% took all the factors into consideration, including the probability of everything going their way or not, and decided that the PAY INCREASE, along with the MRA clause, was sufficiently in their favor that it was worth voting YES to lock in the OTHER VERY IMPORTANT things like SCOPE, RESERVE and QOL Improvements, SLOPE Corrections, etc, etc. The problem with some of you guys is that all this time you were looking down your noses thinking that the 82% voted a "Resounding" YES, when in fact it was an "All Things Considered" YES. I could say, "You might want to reconsider your decision making process having ended up on the other side of the fence by such a wide margin, and tell you, you lack imagination, etc, etc." However, I see your side of the argument too, and simply chose to put weight on other factors in making my decision, and I assume the other 82 percenters did the same. The company's decision was not totally altruism. While it is appreciated, in fact if you think about it, they did themselves more of a favor than they did us, because operationally, things were on the verge of going to hell in a handbasket for them, if our rates were to stay as negotiated. Yes..... Think about it... |

If you don’t know who’s on our NC you should familiarize yourself. Last ones was good, this is better.
Honestly though, 340 came from our board, BM and ST… that is the honest truth! MAGIC! |

"All's well that ends well" I suppose. |
I think the cavalier “we are planning for attrition” might have been the wrong approach all along. We can thank the 11 million dollars worth of pilots walking out the door for 340… and good negotiators willing to beat that number through there dim slow skulls. So here is to everyone gone who did the heaviest lifting of all

Congrats!!!

I'm under no illusion the Company did this out of the goodness of their hearts but have to admit, it is greatly appreciated as it's shows us all our our true value. It's a big win that we're pretty much in line with our peers in compensation now for the next few years so I'm all for no more 82%/18% talk but learning for this latest cycle and going forward |
I never thought I'd see the day! The company actually did the "right thing" for the first time since I've been here. Of course, Angle Lake wouldn't do anything significantly worthwhile for the employees unless it benefited them. Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that upper management actually took heed to our MEC's resolutions during COVID and now this. There might actually be hope for this place going forward. Regardless of the motive, I will enjoy the moment while it lasts. Cheers to our NC and the MEC.

Hey ShyGuy, I just browsed over to the Delta page and noticed that they could care less what’s happening at AS, dang, they don’t even acknowledge you after 5 pages…🤔
